About the Author
I’m Michael Belliotti, a children’s author who transforms resilience and lived experience into stories that help kids feel seen, valued, and brave. After surviving a life-changing accident in 2007 and living with chronic pain and disability ever since, I discovered creativity as a way to heal—and now I write to empower children facing challenges of their own. My books celebrate empathy, courage, and self-belief, because those are the gifts that helped me rebuild my life piece by piece.
Chronic pain taught me how to speak about compassion from a place of truth. Understanding differences and honoring each person’s journey aren’t concepts I write about—they are lessons I’ve lived, and they guide every story I create. Inspired by my mother, a devoted preschool teacher, I hope my books help children feel proud of who they are and kinder toward those carrying invisible struggles.
Above all, I want my stories to support children who don’t always feel seen or understood. If even one child feels braver, more confident, or more connected after reading my work, then every page I write has purpose.
